“The opportunist thinks of me and today. The statesman thinks of us and tomorrow.” --President Dwight D. Eisenhower
What potential future is staring you in the face? Whatever is it – you must not let it fade.
It takes a courageous spirit to see today for what it truly is: an opportunity. How we rise to the occasion can definitely define one’s character.
Weather and fires burned homes, scorched land, and destroyed livestock. Many of us have lost family and friends to a virus about which we still have much to learn. This, the treatments, the response, the politics, the impacts…will be studied for decades.
Benjamin Franklin once said, “Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today.” This is good advice for us. It may sound simple, but at times, can be hard to execute.
Let’s count on each other to do something unexpected, something bold, something that requires rising up and making a better today…and, a better tomorrow. Take another swing at your dream, reset your ambition, reinvent your business, take a second look at your community, do something for the greater good.
Leaders are lifelong learners and lifetime doers. Relationships breed ideas and motivate action.
The obstacles won’t disappear, and the hard work won’t get any easier. The stakes have never been higher, but the rewards have never been greater. The perfect moment does not exist.
What are you waiting for? NOW’S YOUR TIME

The future of KARL depends on a continuing stream of exceptional candidates and ultimately, graduates who become better leaders by being more effective and influential. We are counting on you to play that vital role in this process by helping locate those individuals.
We are also working on alumni engagement for the greater good. Watch for opportunities to attend an event, tell the story of agriculture and rural Kansas, to be a speaker, and opportunities to be a part of the Program. Thank you.
Until next time, be safe and stay connected. #BeLegendary Our Contact Information |
